The amended law of 6 January 1978 - known as the Data Protection Act - provides for a right of opposition (article 38, paragraph 2). This allows you to object to appearing in certain files or to refuse the communication (transfer or marketing) of information concerning you to third parties for the purposes of commercial prospecting.
