Introduction
The
United States, translated "The United States" is the union of
fifty-one states (48 are adjacent and form the Mainland), located in North
America.
Territory
of the United States
They
are also composed of 14 island territories located mainly in the Pacific Ocean
and the Caribbean Sea.
Framed
by the Pacific Ocean in the East and the Atlantic Ocean in the West, they are

as the official language (28 out of 50 states). Moreover, in a plurality of
states, a second official language is
recognized: we can quote the Hawaiian for Hawaii, but also the Spanish in
Puerto Rico ...
It
is estimated today that most of the population speak English more or less well.
However official documents are available in 6 languages: English (97% of the
population), Spanish (12.8% of the population), Korean, Chinese but also,
Vietnamese and Tagalog.
The
flag of the United States is nicknamed the "Stars and Stripes" which
literally means "stars and bands". This one describing the essence of
the flag at least in its physical form. It consists of 13 alternately white and
then red bands, representing the 13 founding states of the United States.
Initially, the number of stars was also corresponding, now we find 50 stars for
the 50 states present in this union. This modification is the new official
version of the flag since July 4, 1960, following the integration of the 50th
integrated state on August 21, 1959: Hawaii.

Geological
risks:
First

of life are the most diffused and watched. We can cite for example Pearl Harbor
telling the attack of the American naval base by the Japanese in 1941.
In
addition, the United States is still the leading economic power, they hold a
strong attractiveness, the American dollar is the international currency. Their
Central Bank, the FED influences the global financial market, including the
interest rates of other central banks. In addition, it hosts the main financial
organs, which are the IMF and the World Bank. However, we can question the durability
of this American hegemony. Indeed, many powers are emerging around the world,
China is now the world's largest manufactory, and tends to take the US
position. Brazil is becoming the South American leader.
To
conclude, we can ask ourselves whether tomorrow the United States will be the
world's leading player or whether we are slipping into a world of polycephalic
powers.
