Home repair. You request the return of the changed parts to a convenience store
A repair company has changed parts on your washing machine. If you believe that the invoiced intervention was not carried out, or that the allegedly defective part was in good condition, ask the craftsman to return the changed parts to you: these remain your property. You will be able to have them appraised to find out if it is really essential to replace them. If the parts are replaced free of charge under the commercial warranty, they remain the property of the manufacturer's after-sales service. When repairing at home, the replaced parts must be spontaneously offered by the employee to the consumer. The latter will have to sign a discharge if he refuses to keep them (article 5 of the decree of 2 March 1990 as amended).
Dear,
On (date), your company intervened on (my washing machine…) to proceed with (indicate the repair). The invoice that I paid shows that you replaced (indicate the changed part).
It was not possible for your employee to return the used part to me when I paid the invoice.
I therefore remind you that this part remains my property and I ask you to return it to me within eight days.
Please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of my best regards.
