You ask your landlord for authorization to sublet all or part of your accommodation
You want to sublet a room in your apartment, or even the entire apartment, because you are temporarily going abroad and want to find it on your return.
You must imperatively ask for the written agreement of your lessor, including with regard to the amount of rent. The price per square meter of the sublet cannot in fact exceed the one you pay yourself (article 8 of the law of July 6, 1989). This formality is required: unauthorized subletting constitutes a breach of the lease and may justify its termination.

I would like to sublet a room in the apartment you rent to me to a student. So I come to ask for your agreement.
I would like to point out that, this room measuring (…) square meters, I intend to set the monthly rent at (…) euros, and the charges at (…) euros, which corresponds to the price per square meter of living space of the rent and charges my own accommodation.
I am aware that, as the primary tenant, I am responsible for my sub-tenant.
