NB: Terms & Conditions of Locum Express Time Sheet
As of Monday 17th October 2012 the HSE have implemented new rules on lunch breaks.
The HSE has stated they will only pay agency staff for hours worked.
• In relation to the Organisation of Working Time Acts the following break times will apply
0 - 4 hours - 1/4 hour break
5 - 8 hours - 1/2 hour break
9 - 13 hours - 1 hour break.
• All doctors on HSE sites must take the above breaks at a minimum. There is no legislative requirement for these breaks to paid therefore the HSE will not be paying for lunch breaks going forward.
• If you do work through your lunch break Locum Express strongly advise that your time sheet should be signed by Medical Manpower, as the Medical Manpower Dept will over rule any approved time sheet signed by your Consultant .
