If so, you have the right to have your bill capped. From July 1, 2013, the drinking water service must inform its subscriber in the event of an abnormal increase in its drinking water consumption. This information, which becomes mandatory in July 2013, does not prevent the drinking water service from informing the subscriber as of today.
In these two situations, it is your responsibility within a maximum period of one month following receipt of your invoice to have the leak repaired and to send your drinking water service a certificate from the repairer mentioning the date of repair and the location of the leak. the escape. If all the conditions are met, the amount of your invoice will be capped at double your usual consumption (article L.2224-12-4 of the general code of local authorities and decree n ° 2012-1078 of September 24, 2012).
